District Magistrate Savin Bansal stated that the first dedicated computer kiosk of the state has been prepared, it will be inaugurated soon.
DEHRADUN: DM Savin Bansal, on 14 February, issued necessary guidelines to make an effective action plan to stop land fraud and to make arrangements to make people aware to save them from fraud. This is another initiative of the District Magistrate to save the public from land fraud, which is the first dedicated computer kiosk center of the state.
It may be recalled that in the month of November, the District Magistrate had given instructions to prepare a dedicated computer kiosk center while holding a meeting, in the sequence of which a computer kiosk has been prepared near the Registrar’s office. At this dedicated computer kiosk built near the registry office, the general public will be able to get land related information from the e-registration website.
According to the DM, the chain of middlemen/brokers will be broken through this first dedicated computer kiosk of the state, on which common citizens will be able to get land related information from the e-registration website. To create awareness among the public, flexes will be put up at the offices regarding the points to be kept in mind before registration.
The DM, while reprimanding the poor functioning of the Registrar’s office, directed the ADM to hold a meeting within a week with full preparation. He said that the main reason for maximum land fraud is that the public not having prior information about the registry land records, this gap should be filled. The public information gap should be filled before buying and selling of land and the Khatauni, Dakhil Check, ID should be checked.
