UTTARKASHI: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday visited Harsil-Mukhba in district Uttarkashi along with Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Tourism Sachin Kurve, Additional Director General of Police V Murugeshan and other senior officials and reviewed the preparations being made for the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Dhami asserted that the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Harsil-Mukhba 0area will significantly boost winter tourism in Uttarakhand and greatly contribute to the prosperity of the state. He emphasised that the entire Uttarakhand along with Harsil-Mukhba area, is fully prepared to welcome the Prime Minister.
On this occasion, CM Dhami highlighted the picturesque natural beauty of Harsil-Mukhba claimed that this visit will be promoted globally, attracting a large number of devotees and tourists to the state. This occasion is going to prove to be a huge contribution to the prosperity of our state, he added.
Dhami noted that the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is always very auspicious for Uttarakhand. He also noted that after the Prime Minister’s visit and stay at Kedarnath Dham, Mana, Adikalash, the number of devotees and tourists visiting these places has increased significantly. Similarly, as a result of the Prime Minister’s visit to the Investors Summit, MoUs were signed for capital investment worth Rs 3.5 lakh crore in the state and till now the grounding of investment of more than Rs. 80,000 crore has started in the state.
During his field inspection, Dhami reviewed all the arrangements made from Harsil to Mukhba for the proposed visit of the Prime Minister. While reviewing the preparations being made on the spot, he directed the officials to keep all the necessary arrangements in order to make the PM’s visit memorable and well-organized. Inspecting the pandal, stage and exhibition site being built for the proposed public meeting, the CM said that special arrangements should be made to showcase the local culture and traditional heritage during the Prime Minister’s program, so that the rich tourism of the state becomes more strong. He claimed that this journey will prove to be an important step towards giving global recognition to the divinity and spirituality of Devbhoomi. Therefore, all arrangements should be ensured to take full advantage of this opportunity.
CM Dhami also visited Mukhba village, the winter residence of Goddess Ganga and prayed at the Ganga temple and wished for the region’s and state’s prosperity.
District Magistrate Dr Meherban Singh Bisht provided information about the arrangements being made for the proposed visit of the Prime Minister. He mentioned that on the occasion of the visit of the Prime Minister, preparations have been made to organize an exhibition based on the winter tourist destinations of the state, local products and handicrafts. Along with this, preparations have been made to flag off motorbike and ATV-RTV rally to Jadung, PDA and trekking expeditions to Janaktal and Mulingla to promote adventure tourism activities in the untouched and wonderful tourist places of the border area of Uttarkashi district.
On this occasion, MLA Suresh Chauhan, Superintendent of Police Sarita Dobal, Chief Development Officer SL Semwal, Additional District Magistrate PL Shah, Divisional Forest Officer DP Baluni, Superintending Engineer PWD Harish Pangati and officers of various departments were present.
