Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will interact with students, youth, and parents in Dehradun today through the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme.
Ahead of the event, Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal inspected the arrangements at the Bannu School Ground on Thursday. He was accompanied by State Congress co-incharges Manoj Yadav and Surendra Sharma, former PCC president Karan Mahara, chairman of the Uttarakhand Congress Election Management Committee Harak Singh Rawat, deputy leader of the Congress Legislature Party Bhuwan Kapdi, and other senior party leaders.
The Congress has launched an extensive outreach campaign to ensure the programme’s success. Party leaders and workers have been meeting students and youth across the state, inviting them to participate in the event.
As part of the campaign, the party organised a series of street plays highlighting issues such as alleged examination paper leaks, unemployment, and challenges faced by students. On Thursday, the Congress also released the official anthem of the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme, emphasizing unity among students and advocating transparency and fairness in the education system.
PCC president Ganesh Godiyal described the event as more than just a political programme, calling it a commitment to securing a better and safer future for students. He urged students and parents to participate in large numbers.
