CM reviews construction quality, safety arrangements and traffic management after returning from Bhauwala

Dehradun, August 10: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday inspected the reconstruction work of the approach road of Nanda Ki Chowki Bridge in Prem Nagar, Dehradun, while returning from the Women’s Dialogue and Felicitation Programme held in Bhauwala, Sahaspur.

During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the quality of the reconstruction work, safety arrangements and traffic management at the site. He also interacted with officials and engineers and obtained detailed information about the restoration work and the arrangements put in place to ensure smooth movement of traffic.

It may be recalled that the approach road of Nanda Ki Chowki Bridge had been damaged, following which the state government immediately directed the concerned departments to initiate relief and reconstruction measures. Under the Chief Minister’s directions, officials and field personnel worked on a war footing and completed the reconstruction of the damaged approach road within just 12 hours.

The swift restoration helped normalize traffic movement in the area at the earliest and provided relief to commuters and local residents who could have faced considerable inconvenience due to the damage.

Chief Minister Dhami appreciated the prompt and dedicated efforts of the officials, engineers, technical personnel and other workers involved in the reconstruction work. He emphasized that quick coordination and effective response are essential during emergencies involving roads and bridges.
