Citizens urged to immediately share information about stranded Uttarakhand residents
Dehradun, August 27, 2026: In view of the severe disaster situation caused by the sudden flooding of the Bhotekoshi River in Nepal’s Rasuwa region, the Uttarakhand government has activated a helpline mechanism to assist citizens of the state.
The Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) has issued helpline numbers of the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), Dehradun, as well as district-level helpline numbers for Dehradun.
Citizens have been advised to contact the helplines if any resident of Uttarakhand is stranded in the affected areas of Nepal, is missing, or if anyone has important information regarding the whereabouts or safety of an affected person.
The administration has appealed to citizens to immediately share any relevant and reliable information concerning the disaster-affected areas of Nepal through the designated helpline numbers. Uttarakhand residents stranded in the affected region can also contact these numbers to provide information about their situation and seek necessary assistance.
