State-Level Awards for Persons with Disabilities: Applications Invited Till September 26
Outstanding employees, self-employed persons with disabilities, employers/placement officers and exceptional para-athletes eligible to apply

The Social Welfare Department of Uttarakhand has invited applications for state-level awards recognizing the talent, skills and outstanding achievements of persons with disabilities under the financial year 2026-27.
The selected awardees will be felicitated at a special ceremony to be organized on December 3, 2026, on the occasion of World Disability Day. The initiative aims to recognize and encourage persons with disabilities who have demonstrated excellence in employment, self-employment, sports and other areas, as well as individuals working towards their employment and placement.
District Social Welfare Officer Deepankar Ghildiyal said that applications have been invited from eligible candidates in the prescribed format for the state-level awards.
Who Can Apply?
The awards will primarily cover the following categories:
- Outstanding and skilled employees with disabilities
- Persons with disabilities engaged in self-employment
- Employers/placement officers working for persons with disabilities
- Outstanding sportspersons with disabilities
Eligible individuals have been advised to submit their applications along with all the required supporting documents.
Documents Required
Applicants must submit a disability certificate, latest photograph, detailed biodata/biography, documents related to special achievements and the required recommendation along with their application.
In addition, applicants are required to submit an affidavit on a ₹10 stamp paper, declaring that they have not previously received a state-level award.
Applications to Be Submitted in Three Original Copies
Applicants must prepare their applications in the prescribed format and submit them in three original copies. The application along with all necessary documents must reach the office of the District Social Welfare Officer, 26 EC Road, near Survey Chowk, Dehradun, by September 26, 2026.
The Social Welfare Department has urged all eligible persons with disabilities and other eligible applicants to make use of this opportunity to gain recognition for their talent, professional achievements and exceptional contributions by submitting their applications within the prescribed deadline.
