New Delhi/Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami over the phone and took an update on the recent natural disaster that struck the Dharali region in Uttarkashi district, as well as the ongoing relief and rescue operations.
Chief Minister Dhami informed the Prime Minister that the state government is fully committed to the relief and rescue efforts. He stated that while continuous heavy rainfall is posing certain challenges in some areas, all concerned agencies—including NDRF, SDRF, police, and local administration—are working in close coordination to ensure swift and effective assistance to the affected people.
Prime Minister Modi assured all possible support from the central government. He affirmed that the Centre stands firmly with the state government and the disaster-affected people during this difficult time.
