Over 26,000 Youth Provided Transparent Government Jobs

CHAKRATA, DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday visited the historic Shiva temple at Lakhamandal, where he received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from local residents and party workers. The Chief Minister offered prayers at the ancient shrine and wished for peace, prosperity, and well-being for the people of Uttarakhand.

During the event, Minister of State and programme coordinator Geeta Ram Gaur presented a 16-point demand letter highlighting various local issues. The Chief Minister assured the gathering that each demand would be examined with seriousness and that appropriate and positive action would be taken at the earliest.

Addressing a large public gathering, Chief Minister Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is taking historic and decisive steps for Uttarakhand’s development. He reaffirmed that the strictest anti-cheating law in the country has been implemented in the state to ensure fairness in recruitment processes.

The Chief Minister highlighted that more than 26,000 youth have secured government jobs in the last four-and-a-half years, with complete transparency and integrity. “These jobs have been given purely on merit and talent,” he reiterated.

He also stated that strict action has been taken to curb activities such as land jihad, spitting jihad, love jihad, and forced religious conversions. The government, he said, is fully committed to safeguarding the state’s demography, cultural identity, and traditional values.

Referring to cultural renaissance across the country, the Chief Minister said that just as the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya was completed after 500 years and the Mahakal Corridor was developed in Ujjain, major cultural initiatives are being taken up in Uttarakhand as well.

A ₹120-crore special master plan is currently being prepared for the renowned Hanol Temple in the region. Under this project, comprehensive conservation and development work will be undertaken to preserve the spiritual and historical significance of the site.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, Chief Minister Dhami said the affection and hospitality of the people of Lakhamandal deeply touched him. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring holistic development across Uttarakhand.

A large number of local citizens, along with MLA Durgeshwar Lal, public representatives, and party workers, were present during the programme.
