Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launches a special Panchang table calendar showcasing festivals, traditions, government schemes, and key achievements of the state.
Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday officially launched a special Panchang table calendar titled “From the Soil of Uttarakhand — From Hero to People’s Leader Pushkar Singh Dhami” (“उत्तराखण्ड की मिट्टी से—नायक से जननायक पुष्कर सिंह धामी”) at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the calendar is not merely a record of dates but a reflection of Uttarakhand’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. It provides detailed information on tithi (lunar date), day, fortnight (paksha), month, festivals, fasts, and other significant occasions, along with traditional celebrations. He emphasized that such initiatives help people, especially the younger generation, stay connected with their cultural roots.
The concept of this Panchang table calendar was developed by the Chief Minister’s Media Coordinator, Madan Mohan Sati. In addition to cultural and religious details, the calendar also highlights the state government’s key decisions, public welfare schemes, achievements, and visionary initiatives, making it informative for the general public.
The event was attended by Media Advisory Committee Chairman Prof. Govind Singh, Deep Koshyari, Kishore Bhatt, and other dignitaries.
The Chief Minister appreciated the effort, stating that such initiatives play a significant role in preserving cultural heritage and enhancing public awareness.
