Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Launches 74 Projects Worth ₹401.86 Crore in Dehradun

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 74 development projects worth ₹401.86 crore in Dehradun, boosting infrastructure, sanitation, roads, health, and education across Uttarakhand.

DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday participated in the “Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar: Char Saal Bemisaal” programme held at Parade Ground and announced a major push to development in Uttarakhand. On the occasion, he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 74 development projects worth ₹401.86 crore.

These include:

  • Foundation laying of 33 projects worth ₹99.44 crore
  • Inauguration of 41 projects worth ₹302.42 crore

🔹 Key Inaugurations

The inaugurated projects focus on strengthening urban infrastructure, sanitation, health, education, and road connectivity:

  • Construction of a 15 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and associated works at Sapera Basti under the Namami Gange Programme
  • Expansion of sewer networks across Dehradun (Araghar Chowk–Mothrowala, Saharanpur Chowk–Pathribagh, etc.)
  • Drainage and sewerage restructuring in Indira Nagar and other city areas
  • Sewer line projects in Om City, Kusum Vihar, and Chaman Vihar
  • Development of modern facilities at the post-mortem house in Chandernagar
  • Construction of Shardapeeth Ghat and Miraben Ghat in the Rishikesh region
  • Renovation of hill canals and flood protection works in Chakrata and Kalsi blocks
  • Construction and upgradation of roads and internal village connectivity in Doiwala, Rishikesh, and nearby regions
  • Upgradation of several motor roads across the district
  • Construction of buildings in multiple Government Inter Colleges
  • Establishment of a Primary Health Centre at Chidderwala
  • Construction of a 100-bed Mental Health Institute at Selaqui
  • Special infrastructure for rehabilitation of child beggars and rag-pickers, including digital learning and activity spaces

🔹 Key Foundation Stone Projects

The newly launched projects mainly target flood control, irrigation, rural infrastructure, and connectivity:

  • Sewerage scheme in Saket Colony, Dehradun
  • Flood protection works along rivers in Mussoorie, Doiwala, and other regions
  • Riverbank safety projects along Suswa and Jakhan rivers
  • Renovation and reconstruction of irrigation canals across multiple development blocks
  • Establishment of an Agricultural Seed Store in Sahaspur
  • Road widening and connectivity projects in Doiwala and adjoining areas
  • Construction of internal roads and interlocking pathways in Rishikesh and Doiwala
  • School building construction projects in several locations
  • Strengthening of drinking water supply schemes in the Rajpur Road विधानसभा area

These projects collectively aim to boost:

  • ✔️ Urban infrastructure and sanitation systems
  • ✔️ Sewerage and waste management
  • ✔️ Rural connectivity and road networks
  • ✔️ Flood control and irrigation systems
  • ✔️ Healthcare and educational infrastructure

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is committed to accelerating development and ensuring inclusive growth, taking Uttarakhand steadily forward on the path of progress.
