Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri Nominations Open for 2027

Nominations Invited for Padma Awards 2027; Applications to be Submitted to District Office by June 10

Nominations and recommendations have been invited for the prestigious Padma Awards 2027, including the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri, which are among India’s highest civilian honours. The awards will be conferred on the occasion of Republic Day, January 26, 2027.

Providing information in this regard, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) K.K. Mishra stated that, as per the instructions received from the Cabinet Secretariat Section of the Government of Uttarakhand, the Government of India has invited online nominations and recommendations for the Padma Awards through the Ministry of Home Affairs. Eligible individuals, organizations, and citizens may submit their nominations in the prescribed format.

He informed that detailed guidelines regarding the Padma Awards nominations have been laid down in the Government of India’s demi-official letter No. 1/7/2026-Public dated March 12, 2026. The nomination should include the nominee’s complete profile, achievements, contributions, services rendered, and other relevant information.

Additionally, a two-page citation in English, not exceeding 800 words, highlighting the nominee’s distinguished achievements and contributions, must be attached with the proposal.

The ADM further stated that all proposals received at the district level will be forwarded to the Cabinet Department through the official e-mail secy-gopan-ua@nic.in and must be submitted only in Microsoft Office Word format. The last date for submission of proposals at the state government level has been fixed as June 12, 2026.

As per the procedure prescribed by the Government, applications and recommendations at the district level will be accepted only up to June 10, 2026, at the District Office, Dehradun. Proposals received after the stipulated deadline will not be considered.

Appealing to citizens, institutions, and organizations, K.K. Mishra urged them to nominate deserving individuals who have made exceptional contributions in fields such as social service, public administration, literature, education, science, medicine, arts, sports, and other areas of national importance, ensuring that worthy personalities receive due recognition through the country’s highest civilian awards.
