President Droupadi Murmu Arrives in Uttarakhand, Receives Warm Welcome at Jolly Grant Airport
Dehradun, June 12, 2026: President of India, Droupadi Murmu, arrived in Uttarakhand on Friday and was accorded a warm and ceremonial welcome at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun.
On her arrival, the President was received by Uttarakhand Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd.), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Director General of Police Deepam Seth, along with several senior officials from the state government and administration.
Elaborate security and protocol arrangements had been put in place at the airport to ensure the smooth conduct of the President’s visit. Senior officers from the civil administration, police, and security agencies were present to oversee the arrangements and welcome the President.
The President’s visit has generated considerable enthusiasm across the state, with officials and dignitaries expressing their pleasure at her arrival in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. During her stay, President Murmu is scheduled to participate in various official engagements and events of significance.
Welcoming the President, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that her visit is a matter of pride for the people of Uttarakhand. He extended his best wishes for a pleasant and successful stay and conveyed the warm greetings of the state government and its citizens.
