Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday flagged off the “Mukhya Sevak Bhandara” team from his Camp Office in Dehradun, marking a significant gesture of support ahead of the commencement of the Char Dham Yatra 2025.
The team of sevadars will provide food services at various locations along the Char Dham route as part of the “Mukhya Sevak Bhandara” initiative, aimed at supporting the thousands of devotees undertaking the sacred pilgrimage.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Dhami expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming Yatra. “There is a wave of devotion and excitement across Uttarakhand. Pilgrims from across the country have already begun arriving in Devbhoomi,” he said. He assured that Uttarakhand is fully prepared to welcome pilgrims from across India and the world, adding that the state government is committed to ensuring that every devotee has a fulfilling and memorable spiritual experience.
The Chief Minister extended heartfelt gratitude to the individuals and organizations engaged in service during the Yatra, highlighting the collective responsibility to ensure its success. “Every year, the number of pilgrims increases significantly. Lakhs of devotees visit Uttarakhand, and this year too, all necessary preparations have been completed at every level,” he stated.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Madhu Bhatt, Vice President of the Culture, Literature, and Arts Council; Colonel Ajay Kothiyal (Retd), Chairman of the State Ex-Servicemen Welfare Advisory Committee; as well as duty holders Puneet Mittal and Himanshu Chamoli.
