CM Dhami Flags Off Vacuum-Based Road Sweeping Machine to Boost Dehradun’s Cleanliness Drive
Dehradun, Friday – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off a vacuum-based road sweeping machine at his Camp Office, introduced by the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun as part of its smart sanitation initiative.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister lauded the Municipal Corporation’s efforts to transform Dehradun into a clean and modern city. He said that the adoption of advanced technology will not only enhance efficiency in road cleaning but also contribute significantly to the objectives of the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).
Highlighting the government’s commitment to building a pollution-free environment, CM Dhami stated, “By strengthening the sanitation system with modern machines, we will make Dehradun cleaner, greener, and healthier. These machines will ensure faster, more effective cleaning while reducing dust and air pollution.”
He urged the Municipal Corporation and related departments to ensure proper and regular operation of such machines to maintain the city’s cleanliness and natural beauty.
Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal, and other senior officials of the Municipal Corporation were also present at the event.
