CM Dhami Inaugurates Yoga Park, Launches AI Chatbot & Unveils Green Policy in Dehradun

Dhami Reaffirms Zero Tolerance on Drugs

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Yoga Park at Kedarpuram under Dehradun Municipal Corporation and laid the foundation stone for various development projects on Wednesday. On the occasion, he also launched the AI chatbot ‘Nigam Saarthi’ and unveiled the Green Policy document.

In a symbolic gesture under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, the CM planted a Rudraksh sapling — marking the one lakhth sapling planted in the Dehradun municipal limits this year under the mega plantation drive. The CM also felicitated sanitation champions and tax inspectors, and administered a collective oath for drug-free living.

Speaking at the event, CM Dhami said the modern Yoga Park in Kedarpuram reflects the state’s commitment to promoting health, happiness, and environmental balance. “It will be a centre for fitness, wellness, and community activities,” he said.

The CM highlighted the government’s vision to make Uttarakhand the “Global Capital of Yoga & Spirituality.” This year, on International Yoga Day, India’s first Yoga Policy was implemented in the state. Plans are underway to establish one Spiritual Economic Zone each in Garhwal and Kumaon to promote Ayurveda, naturopathy, yoga, and spiritual tourism.

Under PM Narendra Modi’s guidance, the state is executing development works worth ₹1,400 crore to make Dehradun a modern and vibrant city.

Marking the 5th anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, CM Dhami reiterated his government’s Zero Tolerance policy against drugs. In the past three years, over 4,000 drug traffickers have been arrested and narcotics worth over ₹203 crore seized. He urged youth to firmly say “No” to drugs and inspire their peers to do the same.
