CM Dhami Conducts Ground Inspection of Disaster-Hit Areas,

Issues Directions for Swift Restoration of Normalcy

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, after reviewing the situation arising from heavy rainfall at the State Emergency Operations Center, conducted a ground inspection of the disaster-affected areas of Mussoorie Road and Kimadi on Thursday.

During the inspection of relief operations, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure the immediate repair of main roads and restoration of traffic movement at the earliest. He also instructed that wherever necessary, alternative arrangements for the movement of people should be made without delay.

The Chief Minister emphasized that all departments concerned must work on a war footing to restore normalcy in the affected areas. He directed officials to provide prompt financial assistance and basic services to all affected families as per disaster relief norms.

In view of the continuous rainfall, CM Dhami further instructed that in areas where connectivity has been disrupted, alternative routes and relief camps should be set up on priority to ensure that people do not face hardship.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Chief Minister said, “The state government stands firmly with the disaster-affected citizens in this hour of crisis. Every possible effort is being made to restore normalcy at the earliest in the affected regions.”

Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Vice Chairman of the State Disaster Management Advisory Committee Vinay Rohilla, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal, SSP Ajay Singh, along with senior officials of the district administration, were present during the inspection.
