CM Dhami Inspects Rain-Affected Areas in Dehradun; Reviews Relief Efforts

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday conducted an on-ground inspection of rain-affected areas under the Raipur region of Dehradun, including Kirsali Chowk, IT Park, Nanurkheda, Amwala, Tapovan, and Shanti Vihar. During the visit, he interacted with local residents, heard their concerns, and reiterated that ensuring public safety remains the state government’s highest priority.

The Chief Minister instructed the district administration to extend all possible support to the affected families. He emphasized the need for regular cleaning of drains and establishing an effective drainage system in waterlogged areas. Further, he directed officials to install warning signs in vulnerable zones and exercise heightened vigilance.

CM Dhami also asked the local police and all concerned departments to remain on high alert to ensure a swift response in any emergency, thereby minimizing reaction time. He underscored the importance of making every possible effort to safeguard lives and property.

Accompanying the Chief Minister on this occasion were Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Vice-Chairman of the Disaster Management Advisory Committee Vinay Ruhela, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, and senior officials of the district administration.
