CM Dhami Offers Prayers at Kedarnath as Temple Closes for Winter

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Visits Kedarnath on Temple Closure Day — Prays for Prosperity and Inspects Ongoing Development Works

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the sacred Kedarnath Dham on Thursday on the occasion of the temple’s annual closure for winter. The Chief Minister performed a special puja (worship) and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of all residents of the state.

During his visit, CM Dhami also inspected ongoing reconstruction and infrastructure projects in and around the Kedarnath temple area. He expressed satisfaction over the steady progress of various works being carried out under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the Char Dham master plan.

The Chief Minister said that this year’s Char Dham Yatra witnessed record pilgrim turnout, marking it as one of the most successful and well-managed pilgrimages in recent years. He commended the collective efforts of the administration, police, local priests, traders, volunteers, and devotees for ensuring smooth conduct of the yatra.

“The Char Dham Yatra not only strengthens Uttarakhand’s economy but also connects the Devbhoomi with Sanatan devotees across the world,” said CM Dhami.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, major developmental and spiritual rejuvenation works are underway in Kedarnath, Badrinath, and temples associated with the Manaskhand circuit.”

CM Dhami instructed officials to formulate an early strategy for the 2026 Char Dham Yatra, ensuring that all logistical and infrastructural arrangements are completed well in advance. He also conveyed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the pilgrimage season.

“With Baba Kedarnath’s blessings, the Char Dham Yatra has concluded safely and successfully,” the Chief Minister added.
“Guided by Prime Minister Modi, our government is committed to developing Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of Sanatan Dharma.”
