CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Offers Prayers at Maa Dhari Devi Temple, Seeks Blessings for Disaster Relief and Public Welfare
Pauri/Dehradun: Amidst the ongoing spell of heavy rains and widespread disaster situation in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the revered Maa Dhari Devi Temple in Pauri district on Saturday. The Chief Minister performed special prayers at the temple, seeking divine blessings for the safety, health, happiness, prosperity, and disaster relief of the people of the state.
Earlier in the day, CM Dhami had conducted an on-ground survey of disaster-affected areas in Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts. Following this, he reached the Dhari Devi Temple, where devotees grew emotional on seeing him pray at the sacred shrine.
After offering prayers, the Chief Minister said, “Maa Dhari Devi is considered the presiding deity of Uttarakhand. In this hour of crisis, I have come to her feet to pray for the well-being of the people of the state. May her blessings protect our land and give strength to our people.”
Interaction with Citizens and Devotees
Following the rituals, CM Dhami interacted with local residents, traders, pilgrims, and members of the temple committee within the temple complex. He patiently heard the problems being faced by the people and assured them that the government is continuously working to provide relief and support in every possible way.
Many devotees praised the state government for its effective management of the Chardham Yatra despite adverse conditions. Santosh Pathak, a devotee from Indore, described CM Dhami as the “Hindu Hriday Samrat”, stating that his sensitivity, leadership, and commitment to disaster management are truly inspiring.
Directives for Safety Measures
During his inspection of the temple premises and the Alaknanda River bank, the Chief Minister issued clear instructions to begin the construction of concrete protective walls on both sides of the river to prevent soil erosion. He directed officials to ensure that all safety standards are followed strictly and that the work is carried out with complete transparency and quality.
Government’s Commitment to Relief and Rehabilitation
Reiterating the government’s stand, the Chief Minister said, “The state government stands shoulder to shoulder with every disaster-affected family. Relief and rescue operations are being conducted on a war footing. Our commitment is to reach every victim, understand their needs, and extend all possible help to restore normalcy in their lives.”

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Kedarnath MLA Asha Nautiyal, Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Singh Chaudhary, District Magistrate Swati S. Bhadoria, Senior Superintendent of Police Lokeshwar Singh, Additional District Magistrate Anil Garbyal, Joint Magistrate Dikshita Joshi, along with other senior officials and dignitaries.
