96-Year-Old Jabar Singh Rawat Donates ₹7 Lakh to CM’s Relief Fund, CM Dhami Hails Him as Inspiration for Generations
Dehradun: In a heart-touching gesture of humanity and social responsibility, 96-year-old Jabar Singh Rawat, a resident of Panditwadi, Dehradun, on Saturday donated ₹7 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support disaster recovery efforts in Uttarakhand.
Rawat personally visited the Chief Minister’s residence, where he met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and handed over the contribution.
Expressing deep gratitude, CM Dhami commended Rawat’s selfless spirit, remarking that “The soil of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is not only filled with faith and valor, but also with an eternal spirit of service and compassion. Jabar Singh Rawat is a living embodiment of this legacy.”
The Chief Minister further described the donation as more than just financial aid, calling it a reflection of a lifetime of experience, empathy, and commitment to society. He said that Rawat’s dedication at such an advanced age would inspire generations to embrace the values of collective responsibility and cultural consciousness.
In recognition of his noble act, CM Dhami honored Rawat with a shawl of respect, thanking him on behalf of the people of Uttarakhand. “Even at 96, his passion to serve society is extraordinary. This gesture is not merely a donation—it is a lesson in humanity and responsibility,” the Chief Minister said.
Dehradun Cantt MLA Savita Kapoor was also present during the occasion.
