Chief Minister Extends Warm Greetings on Uttarakhand’s Silver Jubilee, Highlights 25 Years of Historic Progress

DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttarakhand on the historic occasion of the state’s Silver Jubilee. Paying homage to the immortal martyrs of the statehood movement, state agitators, and brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation, the Chief Minister also remembered former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, acknowledging his pivotal role in laying the strong foundation of Uttarakhand.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has achieved remarkable progress across economic development, infrastructure, social harmony, and cultural preservation in the 25 years since its formation. He highlighted that the state’s economy has grown 26 times, per capita income 18 times, and the state budget more than 20 times. By becoming the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand has once again showcased its distinct identity and leadership.

The Chief Minister said that women, youth, statehood activists, ex-servicemen, and the global Uttarakhandi community have played a vital role in building a strong and self-reliant state. He also expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, mentioning his deep spiritual connection with Devbhoomi. Referring to the Prime Minister’s special interest in the redevelopment of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dhams, and now in the development of Manaskhand, he said Uttarakhand will contribute significantly toward the national vision of a developed India by 2047.

Highlighting the state’s success in hosting the 38th National Games during the Silver Jubilee year, the Chief Minister said Uttarakhand created history by bagging 103 medals. While celebrating the achievements of the past 25 years, he emphasized that the journey ahead is equally important and called upon the people to work collectively to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand progressive, advanced, and exemplary in every sector.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed that public service, good governance, sensitivity, and welfare of the poor remain the core principles of his government. He said the state is determined to establish itself as one of the leading states of India by the end of the Silver Jubilee year, 2025.

Urging citizens to continue their cooperation, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that together, a strong, prosperous, self-reliant, and developed Uttarakhand will be built.
