CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Pays Tribute to Sahibzadas on Veer Bal Diwas at Dehradun Gurudwara

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday participated in a solemn program organized on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas (Brave Children’s Day) at Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Adhat Bazaar, Dehradun. On the occasion, the Chief Minister paid his respects at the Gurudwara, participated in the community meal (Langar), and joined the congregation in offering prayers (Ardas). He prayed for the peace, prosperity, and overall well-being of Uttarakhand.

Paying heartfelt tributes to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, and his four sons—Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh, and Baba Fateh Singh—the Chief Minister said that the lives of the Sahibzadas stand as eternal examples of sacrifice, courage, defense of faith, and supreme patriotism. He said that these young martyrs willingly embraced martyrdom to protect India’s self-respect and religious freedom.

The Chief Minister stated that the sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas is among the greatest examples of bravery and valor in Indian and world history. Such unwavering courage, determination, and devotion at such a tender age are unparalleled. He emphasized that the Sahibzadas chose martyrdom over forced conversion, proving that there is no age limit when it comes to protecting faith, dignity, and national pride. He added that their immortal sacrifice will continue to inspire generations to come.

Chief Minister Dhami further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation has, for the first time, given due recognition to the bravery of the Sahibzadas. The declaration of December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas has connected the entire country with the glorious history, sacrifices, and values of Sikhism. He noted that while efforts are being made to preserve India’s rich and glorious heritage, the nation is also moving forward with firm resolve towards building a strong and self-reliant India, in line with the dreams of these brave martyrs.

Appealing to parents and teachers, the Chief Minister urged them to narrate the inspiring stories of the Sahibzadas to children, so that future generations grow up with pride in their religion, culture, traditions, and national values.

On this occasion, Guru Singh Sabha President Sardar Gurbaksh Singh Rajan, General Secretary Sardar Gulzar Singh, Vice President Sardar Charanjit Singh, BJP General Secretary Deepti Rawat, Siddharth Agarwal, Vice Chairman of the Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dabar, along with office bearers Puneet Mittal, Shyam Agarwal, and other dignitaries were present.
