Chief Minister Dhami Urges Youth to Lead Uttarakhand’s Journey Towards Becoming the Best State in India

Khatima: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called upon the youth to move ahead with determination, set clear goals, and build strong careers while contributing actively to making Uttarakhand the best state in the country. He was addressing the Chief Sevak Youth Dialogue programme held at the Khatima Camp Office on Thursday.

Addressing an enthusiastic gathering of young participants, Chief Minister Dhami said that when the youth are filled with energy, hope, and positivity, the atmosphere around them naturally becomes charged with enthusiasm. Sharing his belief in the power of youth, he remarked, “If the youth of a nation are determined to take their country to great heights, no force in the world can stop its progress.”
The Chief Minister stated that India’s rapid economic and social advancement is clear evidence of an alert and aware young population. “Today, the world looks at India with hope and confidence because India is young — in its people, its dreams, and its vision,” he said. He added that India has always embraced modernity and change, which is why the nation’s voice is now helping to “set the direction of the world.”

Acknowledging the struggles faced by youth from economically weaker backgrounds, the Chief Minister said that determination and strong willpower can overcome any obstacle — even mountains give way before such resolve.
Dhami highlighted that thousands of young people from Uttarakhand are excelling in the armed forces, defense services, government and private sectors, and in startups and new businesses. Many of the youth present at the event, he noted, had secured employment or self-employment opportunities in recent years through their hard work and perseverance.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is working with a mission to transform India into a developed country by 2047. “To achieve this goal, the role of youth is of utmost importance,” he emphasized.
The Chief Minister observed that no nation can achieve holistic progress — economic, social, political, or cultural — unless its youth are organized, self-reliant, and inspired by nationalism. “Just as an engine needs fuel to start, a nation needs the strength, innovation, and talent of its youth to move forward,” he said.
He expressed confidence that India, recognized today as a young nation, will reclaim its position as a global leader if its youth continue to move in the right direction. “Our youth are becoming more responsible and duty-bound towards the nation,” he said, adding that this Youth Dialogue would serve as a milestone in strengthening the collective resolve to make India a developed nation.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the government’s commitment to preserving and enhancing the religious and cultural heritage of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
Highlighting the growing startup ecosystem, Dhami said that since the launch of the Uttarakhand Startup Policy, the startup culture in the state has flourished rapidly. “We are providing financial assistance and a supportive environment for startups. Over 1,100 startups have been recognized in the state, and 15 state-of-the-art incubators have been established,” he said. These startups, he added, are performing exceptionally well in fields such as food processing, agriculture, IT, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and health and wellness.
Encouraging young people to think innovatively, the Chief Minister urged them to become job creators rather than job seekers. “Whatever you decide to do at this age will shape your future. Let every step you take contribute not only to your personal growth but also to the development of the state and the nation,” he said.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the youth, he said, “Our government is fully dedicated to your all-round development because we have complete faith in your talent and potential.” Expressing optimism, he added, “I am confident that you will continue to contribute wholeheartedly to the progress and prosperity of Uttarakhand and help realize our unwavering resolve to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand the best state in the country.”
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to all the young participants for a bright and successful future.
Among those who spoke at the event were Nikita Upadhyay, Kavita Goswami, Khushi Joshi, Charu Bora, Purva Goswami, Harshita Rana, Gulnaz, Surjeet Singh, and Rohit Joshi.
The programme was attended by District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, Champawat District Magistrate Manish Kumar, senior police officials, public representatives, and a large number of youth.
