Any individual found involved in drug peddling or mixing intoxicating substances in pharmaceuticals will face immediate FIR registration under stringent sections of law.
He directed all enforcement and regulatory departments to act in complete coordination for swift, effective action against drug-related crimes.

Strict Monitoring of Drug Factories and Medical Stores

The DM instructed continuous inspection of drug manufacturing units and medical stores to check illegal drug activities.

As part of the “Nasha Mukt Doon” initiative, the administration has procured 6,000 drug testing kits for large-scale testing across colleges and universities.
DM Bansal approved funds on the spot for the Health Department to conduct drug testing in both government and private educational institutions through the Special Task Force (STF).

The DM emphasized extensive publicity of the “Maanas” Helpline Number 1933 and the NCV Maanas Portal across schools, colleges, and public spaces for reporting drug-related activities confidentially.

Rehabilitation and Mental Health Support Strengthened

The DM instructed the Social Welfare Officer to operationalize Raiwala Old Age Home as a de-addiction and mental health center at the earliest.
He also directed inspection of all private and government-run de-addiction centers and regular monitoring by local revenue and police officials.

Awareness Campaigns to Reach Every Village

DM Bansal directed that large-scale awareness campaigns be conducted to educate people about the harmful effects of drug use.
He emphasized using Asha workers, Anganwadi sevikas, and local volunteers to spread awareness in rural areas and ensure every citizen is informed about helpline services.

Random Drug Testing during Traffic Checks

To tackle urban drug use, the DM ordered random drug testing during road traffic enforcement drives, ensuring stricter road safety and deterrence against substance abuse.

Joint Enforcement to Dismantle Drug Supply Networks

The DM called upon ANTF, STF, NCB, police, and the Drug Control Department to jointly work on dismantling the supply chain and identifying hidden networks involved in drug trafficking.
He also directed data analysis of past years’ cases to map out linkages and networks involved in narcotics activities.
