MLA Umesh Kumar’s arms licence suspended
DEHRADUN: DM Dehradun Savin Bansal has suspended the arms license of Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar. According to the order issued by the District Magistrate on January 28, the arms licence granted to MLA Umesh Kumar, son of late Jagdish Prasad, resident of village Nehru Gram, district Dehradun, has been suspended with immediate effect in view of public interest, and the process of cancellation of the arms licence is underway.
The action follows a case registered against MLA Umesh Kumar at the Civil Lines Police Station, Kotwali Roorkee, Haridwar. The charges include allegations of firing a weapon while waving it in a threatening manner and issuing death threats.
