Dehradun, March 21 | The Dehradun district administration has taken strict measures to curb black marketing of LPG cylinders and ensure 100% home delivery to consumers. Acting on the directions of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, Quick Response Teams (QRTs) have been formed across different zones of the district.
These teams are actively inspecting LPG agencies and closely monitoring demand, supply, distribution systems, and stock levels to prevent any irregularities.
A total of 37 complaints related to LPG supply have been received through the helpline numbers—1077, 0135-2626066, 2726066—and WhatsApp number 7534826066 issued by the district administration.
Officials from the District Food and Civil Supplies Department stationed at the control room are ensuring immediate resolution of all complaints.
Supply and Stock Status
According to the administration:
- Over 17,705 domestic consumers received LPG cylinders today
- 384 commercial consumers were also supplied cylinders
Currently, the available stock includes:
- Around 37,488 domestic cylinders
- 1,616 commercial cylinders
There is a backlog of approximately 90,000 domestic LPG cylinder deliveries. Officials stated that this was caused by a three-day disruption in the booking software system. During this period, cylinders were distributed using manual registers, and over 25,000 entries are now being updated in the system.
The district administration has assured that efforts are being intensified to clear the backlog at the earliest. Additionally, the supply of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders is being steadily increased to avoid inconvenience to consumers.
With active monitoring, deployment of QRT teams, and swift grievance redressal, the Dehradun administration is working rapidly to streamline LPG distribution and ensure timely delivery to all consumers.
