CM Dhami acknowledged the numerous challenges his government encountered over the past three years, from natural disasters in Raini, Silkyara, Kedar Valley, and Mana to governance hurdles. However, he emphasized that his administration has tackled every crisis by being on the ground with the people.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for driving Uttarakhand’s progress, declaring, “This decade belongs to Uttarakhand.” He reiterated the state’s dedication to contributing to India’s development goals for 2047.
Highlighting infrastructure expansion, Dhami pointed out significant improvements in connectivity. He assured that Uttarakhand is assessing its potential and making strategic arrangements for growth.
His government, he said, remains unwavering in its campaign against illegal encroachments and corruption, promising even more stringent measures in the future.
Dhami emphasized that his government does not sideline critical issues. Key legislative actions, such as the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), land laws, and anti-copying measures, reflect this proactive approach.
For women’s empowerment, the government has launched initiatives like Lakhpati Didi and ensured 30% reservation for women. Additionally, a 10% horizontal reservation has been introduced for state agitators. The Pravasi Uttarakhandi Sammelan has successfully reconnected migrants with their home state.
Uttarakhand ranking 13th nationally in per capita income is a positive sign, the CM noted. Events like the Global Investors Summit and G-20 meetings have yielded long-term benefits, boosting the economy and development.
Achieving the top rank in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index stands as a significant milestone. Furthermore, the state’s budget surpassing ₹1 lakh crore in its silver jubilee year reflects Uttarakhand’s financial resilience and progress.
The government is gearing up for major upcoming events, including the 2027 Kumbh Mela and Nanda Rajjat Yatra. Dhami also highlighted the successful hosting of the National Games and expressed gratitude to PM Modi for bolstering tourism through his visits, including the Char Dham Yatra and Winter Yatra.
The event saw the presence of MLA Khajan Das, Mahant Dilip Rawat, Rajkumar Pori, and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari.
