Dehradun: Dr Tripta Thakur has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU). Her appointment was made by the Governor and Chancellor of the University, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), under Section 9 of the Uttarakhand Technical University Act, 2005.
As per the official order issued by the Raj Bhawan on July 16, Dr Thakur will serve a tenure of three years or until further orders.
Prior to this role, she was serving as the Director General of the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Faridabad.
