Heavy Rain Alert: CM urges public to stay cautious, candidates to plan travel accordingly

DEHRADUN: In light of the heavy rainfall warning issued by the State Meteorological Centre for parts of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the public to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel. He also urged everyone to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the administration.

Addressing candidates appearing for the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2025, being conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) on Sunday, the Chief Minister advised them to exercise extra caution and ensure they leave for their examination centres well in advance, keeping the weather conditions in mind.

“The safety of candidates as well as the smooth conduct of the examination are equally important for the government,” Dhami said. He added that the State government is closely monitoring the situation and ensuring all necessary support to the local administration.

The Chief Minister has also directed all district magistrates to keep their local administrative machinery on high alert in view of the possibility of heavy rainfall.
