Industry Department Review Meeting: Focus on Investment Grounding and Industrial Growth

Dehradun – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while reviewing the Industry Department’s Gamechanger Schemes at the Secretariat on Tuesday, directed officials to expedite the grounding of investment proposals received during the Investors Summit. He emphasized investor facilitation, asking for appointment of “Investment Friends” and regular engagement with the top 50 investors in the state.

To improve the business ecosystem, the CM called for:

Simplification of the single-window system

Close monitoring of ease of doing business, enterprise registration, and land allotment processes

Expansion of CM Swarojgar Yojana, already benefitting over 35,000 people

Greater public outreach of new industrial and sectoral policies

The Chief Minister also instructed prioritizing handloom, homestay, and agro-based industries in hill districts and proposed a youth incubation center under the startup policy in collaboration with the Industry Department.

Major Project Update: Khurpiya Farm Manufacturing Cluster

Industry Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey informed that under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor, a world-class integrated manufacturing cluster is being developed on 1002 acres in Khurpiya Farm (Udham Singh Nagar).

Project Cost: ₹1265 crore

Central Grant Released: ₹207 crore

Employment Potential: 22,000 jobs

Executed via: Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV)

Additional updates included progress on flatted factory complexes:

Haridwar: 280 units

Pantnagar: 18 units

Selaqui: 12 units

These developments aim to promote local entrepreneurship and boost industrial growth in Uttarakhand.
