L&T donates ₹5 crore to CM’s Relief Fund; CM Dhami thanks company for supporting disaster relief in Uttarakhand
New Delhi, Wednesday: A delegation from Larsen & Toubro (L&T) met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in New Delhi and handed over a cheque of ₹5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support relief and rehabilitation initiatives for those affected by the recent natural calamities in Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Dhami expressed heartfelt gratitude to the L&T delegation for their generous contribution and lauded the company’s sense of social responsibility. He said that such cooperation from the corporate sector would provide significant strength to the state’s ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
“The state government is fully committed to providing timely assistance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction in disaster-affected regions. The active participation of private organizations like L&T will help us accelerate these initiatives and ensure quick relief to affected citizens,” said the Chief Minister.
Highlighting Uttarakhand’s vulnerability to natural disasters due to its fragile Himalayan geography, the Chief Minister emphasized that the government has implemented several concrete measures to enhance disaster preparedness and strengthen the state’s disaster management framework.
Senior executives from the L&T Group were present during the meeting and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Uttarakhand in its recovery and rebuilding process.
