Chief Minister Dhami Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant on His Birth Anniversary
Dehradun: On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid floral tributes to the eminent freedom fighter, eloquent speaker, social reformer, and statesman. Remembering him with deep respect, the Chief Minister offered homage to Pt. Pant’s portrait and reflected on his unparalleled contributions to the nation.
The Chief Minister recalled that Pt. Pant, as the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and later as the Union Home Minister, played a decisive role in laying the foundations of modern India. “His vision and ideals will continue to inspire us to dedicate ourselves in service of the people and the nation,” he said.
In his message released on the eve of the Jayanti, the Chief Minister described Pt. Pant as a towering patriot, social worker, and efficient administrator whose leadership brought transformative changes to society. He highlighted Pt. Pant’s tireless fight against the exploitative coolie begar system and zamindari, paving the way for social justice and equality.
Chief Minister Dhami further noted Pt. Pant’s instrumental role in establishing Hindi as the official language and guiding India through a crucial phase of nation-building. “His inspirational leadership will forever remain a guiding light for countrymen, reminding us of the values of sacrifice, integrity, and dedicated public service,” the Chief Minister added.
