DM Savin Bansal Resolves 180+ Complaints in Jan Darshan Public Hearing.
Encroachment Demolished in 2 Hours after Complaint.
Dehradun. As part of the weekly Jan Darshan (Public Hearing), held every Monday at Rishiparna Auditorium, Collectorate, District Magistrate Savin Bansal once again demonstrated quick decision-making and empathetic governance. This week, more than 180 complaints were received, covering issues such as land disputes, encroachments, maintenance allowance, Nanda–Sunanda applications, and cases linked to municipal bodies, MDDA, irrigation, and police departments.
Education Support: Dreams Revived
Anjali Chand (resident of Kaulagarh), who cleared the NEET exam and secured admission at Doon Medical College, required ₹2.50 lakh for fees. The DM instantly approved assistance under the Nanda–Sunanda Project.
Muskan and two other schoolgirls also received educational support under the same project.
Children of economically weak families, including those with cancer-afflicted parents, were assured immediate help for uninterrupted studies.
Employment Opportunities Created
Sunaina Gaur (Kanwali Road), a graduate who had to leave her Mumbai job due to her sister’s illness, was assured suitable placement in a private firm.
Rupali (Banjarawala), whose husband is unwell and has no source of income, was directed to be provided employment-linked training and resources through the District Programme Officer and GM-DIC.
Legal Aid for the Helpless
Gopicharan (Shastripuram), facing fraud and eviction attempts by his own son, was provided a free legal advocate through the District Legal Services Authority.
Khem Singh Rawat (Herbertpur) and Poorna Devi (Vikasnagar) were also sanctioned free legal aid to pursue their property fraud cases.
Swift Administrative Action
A complaint of encroachment on NH land was resolved within just two hours, with the illegal structures demolished by the Vikasnagar revenue team under DM’s direct instructions.
At Nanurkheda Primary School and Anganwadi Centre, where toilets and building conditions were in disrepair and mid-day meal quality was poor, the DM instructed education officers to conduct immediate on-site inspection and submit a report.
