Mapavata, Block Chakrata – Voting for the Three-tier Panchayat General Election 2025 continued peacefully across Uttarakhand on Thursday. In the Mapavata area of Chakrata block, a first-time female voter cast her vote at a primary school polling station, symbolizing the vibrant participation of young citizens in the democratic process.
According to the State Election Office, 67.25% voter turnout was recorded across the state by 4:00 PM. The electoral process witnessed widespread enthusiasm, particularly in rural areas, with notable participation from women and first-time voters.
Polling will continue until 5:00 PM, after which the ballot boxes will be securely transported to the designated strong rooms for safekeeping.
