Uttarakhand advancing towards development by adopting PM’s mantra of “Na khaunga, na khane doonga”: Dhami

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday participated in the ‘Corruption-Free Uttarakhand’ felicitation ceremony organized at Balliwala, Dehradun. On the occasion, the Chief Minister administered an oath for a corruption-free Uttarakhand to all present, describing the event not merely as a felicitation but as a celebration of the collective resolve to eradicate corruption from the state.

Highlighting the government’s firm stand against corruption, the Chief Minister stated that ongoing actions represent a triumph of public trust and the aspirations of the youth. The government, he said, has enforced transparency under its policy of ‘Zero Tolerance’ by leveraging technology—citing initiatives such as online transfer processes, monitoring of examination systems, CM Helpline 1905, and Corruption Helpline 1064.

CM Dhami informed that stringent measures had been taken in cases of irregularities in recruitment exams, corruption in transfers and postings, and commission-related malpractices in schemes. Over the last three years, more than 200 individuals have been sent to jail under these actions. Additionally, more than 24,000 youth have been provided government jobs over the last four years.

The Chief Minister also underscored efforts to strengthen governance through the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, anti-copying law, and firm actions against land jihad, love jihad, illegal conversions, and rioting. Referring to ‘Operation Kalanemi’, he appealed to the public to alert the police about such disruptive elements, sharing that over 200 impersonators and suspects have already been apprehended.

Reiterating the state government’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and welfare-centric governance, CM Dhami said that by embracing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “Na khaunga, na khane doonga” (will neither take bribes nor allow others to do so), Uttarakhand is moving ahead towards becoming corruption-free, culturally vibrant, and the best state in the nation.

The event witnessed participation from several dignitaries and representatives of religious and social organizations, including MLA Khajan Das, Swami Chidanand Saraswati, Kishan Giri Maharaj, Rakesh Oberoi, and Pankaj Gupta.
