Special Arrangements for Tourists in Mussoorie

Dehradun. In view of the recent disaster situation, District Magistrate (DM) and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) conducted a ground-level inspection of the disaster-affected areas in Maldevta today. Both officials reviewed the relief and rescue operations and directed concerned authorities to ensure swift and effective response.

Meanwhile, in Mussoorie, the administration has issued an advisory asking tourists to avoid travel until further notice. Hotel and homestay operators have been instructed not to charge any fees from tourists for the affected day. The Hotel Association has announced free stay facilities for all tourists.

Additionally, tourists staying in hotels declared unsafe by the administration are being shifted to safer accommodations, including dharamshalas, gurdwaras, and other designated shelters. Municipal buses are being deployed to transport tourists safely to these locations.

The District Magistrate has strictly directed officials to maintain efficiency in relief operations and warned against any negligence. The SSP also reviewed security arrangements and instructed police forces to remain on high alert and intensify patrolling in vulnerable areas.
