High Alert Issued in Uttarakhand After Delhi Blast; Security Intensified Across State

DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand has been placed on high alert following the blast that occurred in Delhi on Monday evening. Director General of Police (DGP) Deepam Seth directed all units of the State police to tighten security measures immediately, triggering extensive checks of vehicles, trains, and public spaces across multiple districts.

Following the alert, police teams intensified checking drives not only within urban areas but also along international and inter-State borders. Security has been strengthened at sensitive locations including religious sites, markets, bus depots, railway stations, malls, and other crowded zones.

Officials stated that all district police chiefs and field officers have been instructed to enhance vigilance, increase patrolling, and respond promptly to any suspicious activity. Police personnel have also been asked to monitor social media platforms closely and initiate necessary action wherever required.

The heightened security measures aim to prevent any untoward incident and ensure public safety throughout the State.
