DEHRADUN: As per the instructions of the Commissioner, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Uttarakhand, the next phase of ration card verification has started in Dehradun district. In this phase, all ration card holders are required to complete biometric e-KYC at their respective government fair price shops (FPS) equipped with new biometric devices.
District Supply Officer, Dehradun, Mr. K.K. Agarwal informed that necessary directives have already been issued to all supply officers to carry out this process. Completing e-KYC is mandatory for all ration card holders.
How to complete e-KYC
Every member listed on the ration card must visit the nearest government fair price shop along with their Aadhaar card.
The FPS dealer will enter the ration card number or Aadhaar number into the machine, and the names of all family members will be displayed on the screen.
The name of the person present will be selected, after which that member will provide a biometric (fingerprint) impression on the machine.
Once the biometric verification is successful, the e-KYC will be complete.
This process is completely free of charge; no fee is required at any stage.
Once the e-KYC is done, there is no need to repeat it.
If ration card holders face any issues with e-KYC, they may contact their respective area supply officer or visit the District Supply Office, Dehradun for help.
