DEHRADUN: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state, especially the Muslim community, on the occasion of ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’.
In his message issued on the eve of the festival, the Governor said that ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’ is a symbol of love, brotherhood and mutual harmony, which strengthens unity and peace in society.
The Governor emphasised that festivals celebrated by various religions and communities provide an opportunity to come together, share each other’s joys and foster mutual trust and cooperation in society.
Wishing happiness, prosperity and well-being to all the people of the state, the Governor urged everyone to celebrate this festival with joy, enthusiasm and mutual harmony.
