Students will continue to get all other facilities like government medical colleges: Dr. Ashutosh Sayana
DEHRADUN: Director, Medical Education, Dr. Ashutosh Sayana stated that by giving the operation of Haridwar Government Medical College on PPP (Private Public Partnership) mode, fees of the students studying will not increase, along with this, students will continue to get all other facilities like government medical colleges.
Dr. Ashutosh Sayana mentioned that from this session, 100 MBBS seats have been approved in Government Medical College, Haridwar. Now formal studies have also started here. In this sequence, for better operation of the medical college and to provide good facilities to the patients, it has been decided to give the college on PPP mode. But it has been clarified in the condition of PPP that the fees of the students studying will not increase due to this, along with this, Government Medical College Haridwar will be recorded on all the educational certificates and degrees received by the students. Similarly, patients admitted to the hospital will be given treatment at the rates of Ayushman Card or CGHS as per their cards.
The Director added that the purpose of giving it in PPP mode is only to modernize the facilities of the hospital and medical college. So that students and patients can get maximum benefit from it. Therefore, students or the general public need not be confused in this matter.
