Kedarnath by-election: Bypoll concluded peacefully with 57.64% voting.

In the by-election, a total of 90,875 voters will decide the political future of six candidates.

Bypoll concluded with 57.64% voting. This time the voting was 8.79% less.

Rudraprayag: Voting for the by-election on the Kedarnath assembly seat concluded peacefully on Wednesday, 20 November. There was no news of any untoward incident from anywhere.

Initially, fewer voters reached the polling booths. Only 4.37 per cent voters came out to vote in the first hour. But in the afternoon, a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the voters. Bypoll was completed peacefully with 57.64% voting till 6 pm.

A total of 90,875 voters were registered to exercise their franchise. Six candidates are in the fray for the by-election on the Kedarnath assembly seat. From the beginning, a direct contest is being reported between BJP and Congress. Former MLA Asha Nautiyal is in the fray from BJP, while Manoj Rawat is contesting from Congress. The BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal casted her vote at government junior high school Sari in Ukhimath block while Manoj Rawat of Congress was among the early voters to visit government school Bhanaj in Agastyamuni block to cast his vote.

According to the information received, a total of 57.64 per cent voting took place in the Kedarnath assembly by-election. In which a total of 90,875 voters exercised their right, including 45,956 female voters and 44,919 male voters.

173 polling booths were set up for the Kedarnath assembly by-election. Voting took place peacefully at all polling stations. There is no report of any untoward incident from any polling booth.
