DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually addressed the closing ceremony of the ‘Third Kumbh Conclave’ organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on 27 November, Wednesday.
Chief Minister Dhami said that this Kumbh Conclave is an impactful platform to showcase the values of Indian Sanatan culture, civilization and spirituality at the global level. The Chief Minister thanked the “India Think Council” for organizing it. He said that this land of Triveni is the confluence of our Sanatan culture, faith and spiritual traditions along with the confluence of holy rivers like Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. The CM emphasised that the Kumbh religious bath held here, along with liberation from sins, also provides spiritual, ideological and mental purity to the person.
CM Dhami further elaborated that Sanatan Dharma culture is not just a method of worship but a way of living, in which the feeling of welfare of every creature is inherent. Our culture is based on the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, the world as one family. He observed that organizing Kumbh Mela is a symbol of this ideology of ours, where lakhs of people from the country and abroad without any discrimination take a dip in the confluence and attain spiritual peace. Through the Kumbh Mela, we also pass on our rich cultural heritage to future generations.
The Chief Minister said that people from all over the world come to Kumbh Mela to know and understand the secrets of Indian culture, yoga, Ayurveda and spirituality. This promotes Indian culture. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a new ecosystem is also being developed with the motto of “Development as well as Heritage”. Many historical works like reconstruction of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, construction of a grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, development of Mahakal Lok, giving international recognition to yoga, getting Kumbh the status of UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage have been done under his leadership.
CM Dhami said that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, concrete steps have been taken towards the development and welfare of pilgrimage sites. After which there have been big changes in the country. He said that Sanatan culture is being promoted under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Certainly, the Maha Kumbh to be held under his leadership will also be grand and historic. He said that events like Kumbh help us connect with our roots and also inspire us for positive change in the society. He said that certainly the Maha Kumbh to be held in Prayagraj will prove to be a milestone in the promotion of Indian culture.
During this, prominent figures such as Swami Chidanand Maharaj, Ashok Mehta, Saurabh Pandey, R.S Verma, Champat Rai and others were present in the program.
