World Environment Day: CM Promotes ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ with Symbolic Plantation

Dehradun, June 5 – On the occasion of World Environment Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami planted a Sita Ashoka sapling today in the Chief Minister’s residence complex under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. Through this emotional initiative, he gave the message of maternal respect and environmental protection.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to also participate in this noble work and express their respect towards their mothers and plant a tree to protect the environment. He said that this campaign is not only a symbol of maternal worship, but is an effective step towards increasing greenery and keeping the ecosystem balanced.

On this occasion, Forest and Environment Minister Subodh Uniyal and Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan also participated in the campaign by planting saplings. Efforts are being made to give this initiative of the state government the form of a mass movement, so that more and more people can join the resolution of nature conservation.
