Bharadisain (Gairsain): In the Uttarakhand Assembly session held in Bharadisain, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented a supplementary budget of ₹5,315 crore. Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said that the budget has been prepared in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.” He added that this is not just a financial document, but a commitment to sustainable growth, inclusive development, innovation, and economic resilience.
The Chief Minister informed that the supplementary budget focuses on the welfare of every section of society—farmers, workers, the poor, women, youth, security personnel, and journalists. Provisions have been made for electricity tariff subsidies, health schemes, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, housing for police personnel, rest houses for patient attendants, and welfare funds for martyrs and journalists.
He emphasized that the state government is giving priority to disaster risk reduction and environmental balance. Adequate budgetary provisions have been made for addressing issues like land subsidence, earthquake risks, spring mapping, and disaster relief to ensure harmony between ecology and economy.
In terms of infrastructure development, special focus has been given to projects like the Rispana-Bindal Elevated Road, expansion of Pantnagar Airport, Kumbh Mela infrastructure, and tourism development. The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to developing Rishikesh as a Yoga City and Haridwar as a Spiritual Tourism City, while also strengthening cultural and religious events such as the Nanda Raj Jaat Yatra and the Sharda Riverfront project.
CM Dhami said— “This supplementary budget is another strong step towards building a new Uttarakhand. I appeal to the people of the state to join us in this journey of development.”
