Chief Secretary Reviews Preparations for State’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations
Silver Jubilee Events to be Organized Across Uttarakhand from November 1 to 9

Dehradun — Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat on Thursday to review preparations for the Silver Jubilee celebrations marking 25 years of the formation of Uttarakhand.
The Chief Secretary directed that the celebrations be organized at both state and district levels from November 1 to November 9, ensuring widespread participation of citizens from all sections of society. A detailed blueprint of the proposed events was discussed and finalized during the meeting.
Highlighting the state’s progress over the past 25 years, Bardhan said Uttarakhand has made remarkable strides in education, health, industry, tourism, and infrastructure, particularly in road and network connectivity. He emphasized that the upcoming events should not only showcase the state’s achievements but also present a vision and roadmap for the next 25 years of development.
He instructed departments to prepare exhibitions displaying key milestones, achievements, and future plans. The Chief Secretary further directed that cultural programs be organized daily during the nine-day celebration period, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and diversity of Uttarakhand.
Bardhan stressed the need for inclusive participation, urging that workers, farmers, ex-servicemen, women, and youth be actively involved in the programs. He said that the celebrations should foster public enthusiasm and community participation, making it a true people’s festival.
Senior officials present at the meeting included Principal Secretaries R.K. Sudhanshu, L. Fanai, and R. Meenakshi Sundaram; Special Chief Secretary Amit Sinha; Secretaries Nitesh Kumar Jha, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Deependra Kumar Chaudhary, Dr. Surendra Narayan Pandey, Vinod Kumar Suman, Yugal Kishore Pant, and Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, along with other senior officers from various departments.
