Grand Three-Day Ceremony Concludes at Bharat Mata Mandir in Haridwar; Leaders Pay Tribute to Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj

The three-day grand ceremony आयोजित at the Bharat Mata Mandir complex in the Saptarishi area of Haridwar, marking the consecration and unveiling of the Samadhi Mandir and statue of the revered spiritual leader Brahmleen Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj, concluded ceremoniously on Friday.
On the concluding day, the Samadhi Mandir and the statue of Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj were formally unveiled amid Vedic chants and traditional rituals. Several eminent dignitaries, saints, and spiritual leaders offered floral tributes at the Samadhi site, paying homage to the revered saint.
The ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Brajesh Pathak, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara, along with a large gathering of saints, religious leaders, public representatives, and distinguished guests from across the country.

Spiritual leaders, social workers, and political representatives from various parts of India participated in the three-day event. Extensive deliberations were held on themes such as national consciousness, Sanatan culture, the Guru–Shishya tradition, spiritual values, and service to humanity.
Addressing the gathering on the banks of the holy Ganga, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that it was a privilege for him to be part of such a sacred occasion. He paid homage to Maa Ganga and remembered the legacy of the ancient sages who laid the spiritual foundations of India. He stated that although Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj is no longer present in physical form, his spiritual practices, thoughts, and philosophy of life continue to guide society. The consecration of the statue symbolises the revival and reaffirmation of his life values and ideals.
Rajnath Singh emphasized that Haridwar is not merely a pilgrimage city but a living center of India’s cultural consciousness. The uninterrupted flow of Indian civilisation and spiritual heritage emanates from such sacred places. He added that safeguarding the nation is not limited to protecting territorial boundaries but also includes preserving its cultural roots. A nation weak in culture, he said, cannot remain strong. He described Sanatan culture, Advaita Vedanta, the Bhakti tradition, and the Guru–Shishya parampara as the soul of India.
Highlighting the harmony between tradition and progress, the Defence Minister said that modernity and culture are not contradictory but complementary. When technological advancement is guided by strong values and ethics, no force can weaken the nation. He urged the youth to play an active role in nation-building and take a collective pledge to protect India’s unity, sovereignty, and national pride.
Welcoming the dignitaries to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj presented a unique life philosophy by integrating spiritual practice with social service. Through the establishment of the Bharat Mata Mandir, he gave a tangible form to the ideals of patriotism and cultural pride. The Chief Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s Sanatan culture and civilisational heritage are gaining global recognition, while Uttarakhand is progressing with a balanced approach to development and heritage conservation.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj as a powerful torchbearer of the Sanatan tradition. He said compassion, friendship, and patriotism were the core values of the saint’s life. Calling Bharat Mata Mandir a symbol of national unity, he said that the temple transcends divisions of caste, region, and language, binding the entire nation in one spiritual thread.
Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the Bharat Mata Mandir was envisioned as a “Rashtra Mandir” with a far-sighted national perspective, which is now being further strengthened. He also appreciated doctors providing medical services along the Char Dham routes, describing their service as true national service.
Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan said that Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj was an immortal guide of the paths of nationhood, Dharma, and human consciousness. His entire life, she said, was dedicated to Sanatan culture, national duty, and the welfare of humanity.
Union Minister for Power and Urban Development Manohar Lal Khattar stated that he has always drawn inspiration and guidance from the saintly community and expressed his gratitude for being part of the sacred event.
Prominent attendees at the ceremony included Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara, Karshni Peethadheeshwar Swami Guru Sharananand Maharaj, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat, Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, former Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, MLA Premchand Aggarwal, along with a large number of saints, public representatives, senior administrative officers, and devotees.
