DEHRADUN: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has extended support to the disaster-affected families of Dharali and Harsil in Uttarkashi district by contributing ₹1 crore for relief and rehabilitation works.
A PNB delegation met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence on Saturday and handed over a cheque for the relief efforts.
Expressing gratitude to PNB for its contribution, the Chief Minister said the assistance would help in providing immediate relief and rehabilitation to the affected families. He added that the proactive role of social organisations and institutions during this hour of need reflects their sensitivity and sense of responsibility towards society.
The CM informed that rescue operations are in full swing in the Dharali area and every possible help is being extended to the affected people.
Additional Secretary Manmohan Mainali, PNB General Manager Anupam, Assistant General Manager Ajit Kumar Upadhyaya, and Chief Manager Survesh Kumar were present on the occasion.
