UTTARAKHAND: CM Extends Raksha Bandhan Greetings to the People of the State

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. In his message issued on the eve of the festival, he said that Raksha Bandhan is a symbol of the affection, trust, and duty between brothers and sisters, as well as an important part of our rich cultural traditions.

The Chief Minister said that Raksha Bandhan strengthens social harmony and promotes respect and a sense of security for women. It is also a festival associated with women’s honor and empowerment. He emphasized that without empowering women, the vision of a prosperous Uttarakhand cannot be realized, and the state government is continuously working towards this goal.

He urged the people to contribute to women’s empowerment and progress, thereby helping in the creation of an ideal society. The Chief Minister also announced that on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, women in the state will be provided free travel within Uttarakhand on all buses operated by the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation.
