Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) at Lok Bhavan and discussed Uttarakhand’s development projects, public welfare schemes, tourism, and current issues.
DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy visit to Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) at Lok Bhavan on Thursday. During the meeting, the two leaders held detailed discussions on various developmental initiatives, public welfare schemes, and other contemporary issues related to the state.
The discussion focused on key areas including infrastructure development projects, investment and employment generation initiatives, tourism promotion, arrangements for the Char Dham Yatra, and the overall development of rural and hilly regions. The Chief Minister briefed the Governor about the progress of several schemes and projects being implemented by the state government.
On the occasion, the Governor appreciated the ongoing efforts being made for the balanced and sustainable development of the state and emphasized the need to prioritize public welfare-oriented initiatives. He also shared his suggestions on matters related to the social, economic, and administrative development of the state.
The Chief Minister assured the Governor that the state government remains committed to effectively implementing development schemes on the ground and is continuously working to ensure that the benefits of various welfare programs reach the common people.
The courtesy meeting also witnessed a positive exchange of views on several important issues concerning the state’s progress, with emphasis on coordinated efforts to accelerate Uttarakhand’s overall development.
