169 Divyang Beneficiaries to Receive Free Motorized Tricycles Under ADIP Scheme on 22 November

ADIP Scheme Initiative: Free Distribution of Assistive Devices to 169 Persons with Disabilities on 22 November

Dehradun: Under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) Scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, a distribution camp for assistive devices will be organized on 22 November (Saturday) at 11:00 AM. The event will be held at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), Rajpur Road, Dehradun, in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Kanpur.

During the camp, 169 pre-identified beneficiaries will receive free motorized tricycles and other assistive devices.

The programme will be graced by Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Mayor of Dehradun Municipal Corporation Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, and special guest Rajpur MLA Khajan Das.

As per the provisions of the Government of India’s ADIP Scheme, eligible persons with disabilities possessing a UDID card are identified and provided assistive devices at no cost. To make the scheme more accessible, the Government has simplified the documentation process—monthly income certificates of up to ₹22,500 issued by local councillors or gram pradhans will now be accepted.

Additionally, plans are underway to organize screening and identification camps under the ADIP and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana across various development blocks of the district in the near future.
